Journey Kidz
Journey Kidz is Children's Ministry for ages 4 to 12. Our children's ministry team team is dedicated to teaching children biblical principles and the Word of God while having a lot of fun along the way. Our children's sanctuary is decorated with various modes of transportation as a constant reminder of our Journey with Jesus!
Every Sunday Morning is filled with high energy praise and worship, puppets, games, prizes and a God inspired message. Come Journey with us!!!
On Wednesday evenings, Children can attend "Wednesday Knights". The Knights are taught Bible lessons but also enjoy a time of hands-on activites including games and crafts. It is a great mid-week adventure for the children.
Journey Youth
Journey Youth Ministry is designed with the teenager in mind. These young men and women of God realize that the Lord has a plan for their life and they are on the Journey to find it. With youth leaders who really love these teens, this is the place for young people to develop in their walk with Jesus!
Nursery Ministry
A fully furnished nursery is available for your use during every service at The Journey. Our nursery even features a closed-circuit broadcast of the service so that you won't have to miss anything. You may choose to remain with your child or leave them in the care of our loving nursery staff. Babies and toddlers up to age 4 years are welcome. Not only are the little ones carefully watched, but they enjoy a wonderful time of ministry as well. They are read stories of Jesus, they learn songs of praise to Him, and they pray with the nursery staff.
Bus Ministry
Our deluxe shuttle bus is just the ticket for those who need a ride to church. With it's low step, high head room, and perimeter seating, it is just perfect for those without transportation. If you or someone you know would like a free ride to church, please call the church office at 812-232-1857.
Music Ministry
The Bible clearly tells us that our God is deserving of our praise and worship. Each of our services contain a harmonic blend of traditional and contemporary worship styles along with original pieces of music. The Bible says that God inhabits (makes His home in) the praises of His people and therefore we take worship of Him very seriously. He desires that we worship Him in Spirit and in truth. As you attend our worship services, you will sense the power of God in your life during praise and Worship. Make a joyful noise unto the Lord! Praise Him all ye people!
Outreach Ministries
Most of the ministry in the Bible did not happen in the temple, synagogue, or in the church building. Most of ministry took place on the street, at the market place, or in the home. Therefore we must take the gospel from within our church to the world.
Nursing Home Outreach
The Journey regularly ministers in the nursing home environment. Often times the residents of these homes are overlooked, outcast, and forgotten. We feel that these are the kinds of places Jesus would go if He were walking the earth today.
Food Ministry Outreach
Another of our outreaches is being able to provide assistance to those in need of food. Many times Jesus met the physical needs of people before meeting their spiritual needs. Each time we share our food with others, we make sure they are introduced to Jesus. He is the only One who can really satisfy their hunger. At the Journey, we provide food to those in our own community and around the world.
Children's Outreach
At the Journey, we host special outreaches especially for the children. We love to do ministry like Kids Carnivals, Harvest Parties, Kids Crusades, VBS, and other special events. Looking beyond the fun is real ministry and that's what it's all about.
Sermon Outreach
The anointed messages that are preached at The Journey travel around the country and the world. The Word of God is timeless and transcends all languages and cultures. Everyone needs to hear the Word and how can they hear without a preacher (Romans 10). If you would like to receive a free copy of our messages, please contact us with your request.
Missions
At the Journey, we support over twenty different missionaries and missions efforts. We feel that it is vitally important to take the Gospel of Jesus all around the world.
Prayer Ministry
The Journey provides a 24/7 prayer ministry where your needs can be lifted up before the Lord. Please contact the church directly via phone or email to have your need placed on the prayer chain. Through the years we have seen the Lord move in awesome ways through our prayer ministry.
